Icemaker Locks/Freezes up

My icemaker motor freezes up. I have to take it out of the freezer and defrost the icemaker then reinstall it before it will turn to dispense Ice. When I remove it, it is iced up all over and the shaft doesn't turn. After it thaws out, I put a drop or two of lube oil on the shafts and it works for about a week then I have to do it all over again..HELP
